Call for Abstracts - now open!

We are pleased to announce that CANDDID is accepting submissions for its 7th annual scientific conference, to be held on Friday, 13th March 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chester. We look forward to receiving submissions for poster presentations, or for concurrent sessions that showcase your research and work.

  • Submit your proposal at cwp.canddid@nhs.net
  • Deadline for submission for concurrent sessions: 9th February 2026
  • Deadline for Submissions for posters: 9th February 2026
  • Poster presentation: submit title and abstract of maximum 300 words
  • Concurrent sessions: submit a one-page proposal. Concurrent sessions are for 50min and could take form of a workshop, seminar, or of two related presentations with panel discussion.  

Theme: “Fit for the future – 10-year Health Plan and Neurodevelopmental Conditions”

We would like to delve into the key pillars of Hospital to Community, Analogue to Digital, and Sickness to Prevention – and how these synthesise with people with intellectual disabilities and/or neurodevelopmental conditions. The goal is to advance inclusion through approaches that are scientifically grounded, practically experienced, and sustainably embedded in society.

The congress welcomes researchers, self-advocates, professionals, family members and other stakeholders engaged in the field of intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions.
