Launched in 2018, CANDDID is a centre of excellence which brings together, education, training and research in the fields of neurodevelopmental disorders and intellectual disabilities.
CANDDID aims to:
- Facilitate and promote research activity amongst front line clinicians in partnership with service users and carers.
- Create opportunities for post-graduate qualifications in intellectual disability and neuro-developmental disorders.
- Develop and deliver training programmes.
CANDDID is based in Chester and hosted by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP). We are a specialist healthcare provider of mental health, learning disability and community physical health services.
