CANDDID, a centre of excellence that brings together education, training and research in the fields of neurodevelopmental disorders and intellectual disabilities, is inviting undergraduate students to submit entries for an essay competition in time for the second annual conference of CANDDID in May 2020.
There will be a prize to be awarded at the conference for an essay written by an undergraduate student about their personal experience with Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder or Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
- Submit your essay of no more than 3,000 words about your personal experience with Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder or Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
- Your essay should focus on the ways in which your training has been influenced as a result.
- Entries will be judged by a panel of three. We may award more than one prize in exceptional circumstances, or no prize if entries do not meet the required standard
- We’ll provide a place for the winner at our annual conference when the prize will be presented. There will also be possibility of an opportunity to present the winning essay at the conference.
Entries to be submitted by 5.00pm on or before 28 February 2020 to firstname.lastname@example.org with email subject heading 'CANDDID essay competition'.
